Analysis of oxygen negative focus cutting carbon steel

Negative focus cutting increases the cutting speed by 1.2-1.5 times under the premise of sacrificing a certain cross section. The focus is located in the middle and lower part of the plate during cutting. The nozzle increases with the increase of plate thickness. Oxygen plays a more important role in blowing slag during cutting

The focus of negative focus cutting is in the middle and lower part of the plate. If the focus is too low, insufficient energy will lead to incomplete cutting and slag on the surface of the plate; if the focus is too high, the slit will not be enough, so try to hang a small slag at the bottom during debugging. The focus can be set to about half of the plate thickness, and then slowly adjust to lower the focus. For example, the 20mm focus is placed at about -10.

If the negative focus cutting height is too low, the upper layer of the cutting section will have large lines; if the cutting height is too high, the cutting section will be delicate but the stability will be reduced, and the speed will be slower accordingly

With the increase of power, the plate thickness of oxygen negative focus cutting will increase, so a large enough slit is needed to discharge slag, so the nozzle diameter needs to be increased accordingly, and the focus needs to be more negative. So as to achieve stable cutting without heating. For example, if 30kw negative focus is used to cut 40mm carbon steel, use S2.5 single spray, and the focus is about -20.
